About me

Wild Sorrel was created by me, Alaska Sorrel as a vision to connect people and planet in all sorts of ways. As a lover of Yoga, Bushcraft and all things creative it only felt right to combine my passions in order to offer feel good workshops, retreats and Yoga classes in which people can find community. I work with many fabulous individuals who also love sharing their skills with people, if you might be interested in collaborating, drop me a message!

I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years, and last year began studying with The Devon School of Yoga, undertaking a 500hr Yoga teacher training, which I will complete in 2024. More recently I have discovered the joy and importance of Womens/Womb Yoga, and in February 2023 undertook a 50hr Well Women Yoga Therapy Teacher Training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. My Yoga classes are influenced by the wisdom of Womb Yoga and specifically designed to be nourishing and supportive to the female body. I love working with the cyclical nature of our hormones and the seasons, harnessing which each time brings. I believe Yoga, Bushcraft and nature skills should be accessible to all, so if finances are ever a barrier to you joining an event or workshop please let me know so we can discuss funded places. We are all part of nature and nourishing ourselves is a critical part of creating a more balanced, sustainable future for us all, so I hope I can contribute and offer just a little piece of bliss to you.

I currently live in Buckfastleigh Devon, and love travelling around in my van, so you will often find me running workshops and events all over Devon as well as in The Forest of Dean and Bristol where I have family.

Outside of Yoga I work as a Forest School Leader and am slowly working on a collection on environmentally conscious clothing collection from upcycled, organic and natural materials which I hope I can unveil more about soon!
