What Nature Connection means to Me

To me, the term Nature Connection encapsulates a craft, activity or experience that causes us to pause and appreciate our natural surroundings in a different way, to explore nature on some kind of previously unnoticed level. To learn the personalities of the plants around us perhaps or to feel the mud between our toes. Its any time spent exploring our world which helps us step out of our day to day. I love creating workshops that help us connect to the natural world and think we should get as much time doing it as possible!

Bushcraft

Bushcraft is the best excuse to get out in the woods, practice your tool skills and test your resourcefulness. A couple of tools create a world of potential and something about sitting around a fire, crafting and talking really feels important. Like there is a thread connecting you back to your ancestors, there is something very intrinsically human about the experience. I am trained to facilitate sessions in:

Safe Cutting, Cutting Techniques and Tool Maintenance, Damper bread and other Campfire Cooking, Fire Lighting, Traps, Natural Navigation, Safe Water, Natural Shelters and Cordage.

Check out the events page for the latest workshops, or contact me for a private booking. I love getting women into the woods so am particularly interested in running events for women’s groups or similar projects.
